The North East Kansas Music Teachers Association (NEKMTA) functions as the local organization, under the umbrella of the state (KMTA), and national (MTNA) levels. We strive to integrate effective traditional models with the benefits of technology. Locally, NEKMTA provides teachers and students with educational resources and opportunities. We also collaborate with other music organizations and outreaches in the community. State and national conferences provide outstanding educational seminars and networking opportunities.
